As well as tungsten-copper (WCu) materials PLANSEE Powertech AG produces infiltrated tungsten carbide – silver materials (WCAg), with silver contents up to 45%.

WCAg is especially suited to vacuum switches for medium voltage, where short switching frequencies, high switching cycles and long lifetimes are essential.

• mechanical abrasion resistance
• very low chopping currents
